You can climb to Triglav – Slovenia’s highest mountain, visit the surrounding peaks and shephard’s huts…. The life of Bohinj shephards can be discovered in the Planšar Museum, which is situated in the vicinity of thei house and you can taste traditional Bohinj specialities there as well.

Jelje Lodge
On the Jelje hill they also have a shephard’s hut, which used to be occupied by a lady shephard (majarica), who lived there and took care of cows. Since the jingling of the cow bells stopped, they adapted the hut for the needs of a modern man, and they rent it out to visitors looking for a different kind of holiday.
