A family-run farm in the heart of the Triglav National Park valley, operating successfully since the 1970s under the guidance of father Ivan, mother Dora, and their children Bo\u0161tjan, Alenka, Primo\u017e, and Ana. The farm\u2019s beginnings were humble\u2014during the summer months, the family moved into a small space above the woodshed and began renting out rooms to travelers. The first guests arrived as early as 1987. Today, the farm has grown to offer three double rooms with private bathrooms and balconies, two apartments, and shared accommodation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, the Jelin\u010di\u010d farm is the perfect retreat. Ivan, the father, learned to make traditional sheep cheese using a method that dates back to the 14th century. That knowledge is now carried on by his son Bo\u0161tjan, who manages the farm and cares for around 110 dairy sheep of the native Bovec breed\u2014locally known as trentarka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sheep cheese is made from full-fat milk and is not only rich in flavor but also an excellent source of calcium. It can be enjoyed on its own, paired with other cheeses, or as part of a wholesome meal.
