Wonderful Bohinj

Bohinj is a picturesque alpine valley and a municipality in the northwestern part of Slovenia, situated within the Julian Alps. It’s renowned for its stunning natural beauty, including crystal-clear glacial lakes, lush forests, and towering mountains. Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent lake in Slovenia, is the centerpiece of the region, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Bohinj is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a myriad of activities to suit all interests and skill levels. From hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and paragliding, the possibilities are endless. The nearby Triglav National Park provides a playground for adventure, with countless trails winding through alpine meadows, past cascading waterfalls, and up to panoramic viewpoints.

And you can really easy enjoy all the beauties that Bohinj offers at apartments and rooms by Urška and Štefan, a couple of locals who continue the family tradition of their grandmothers. They started tourism in their own homes in the 1960s. Family apartments Na Vasi in the village Savica are located by the beautiful river Sava and apartments and rooms in Stara Fužina, in Triglav National Park are just a few minutes from Lake Bohinj.

They offer guests a large number of apartments and rooms of various sizes, on two locations, united under the name Wonderful Bohinj. All apartments and rooms are nice, well equipped and ready for cosy vacations.

Our apartments Wonderful Bohinj are named after all four seasons. We have the Winter apartments which is a duplex, the entrance and most of the apartment is on the first floor, in the attic there are 2 bedrooms.

The apartment measures 52m2 and is suitable for 4 to 7 people. The apartment is facing south. Spacious living room with sofa bed (150x200cm) and well-equipped kitchen offers a very comfortable stay. Next to the kitchen there is a bathroom with shower, balcony. In the attic there are 2 bedrooms and a balcony, in the larger bedroom there is a double bed (160×200 cm) and an extra bed (80×200 cm), in the smaller bedroom there is a double bed (140x200cm).

Equipment in the apartment: stove (4x electric ring), electric oven, hood, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, cable TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning in the attic.

Next we have apartments Summer which is located on the ground floor of the apartment house and has a small terrace with access to the parking lot and garden, measuring 36m2, suitable for 2 to 6 people. Most of the apartment is facing south and is nicely bright, but in the summer months cold enough for a comfortable sleep.

Apartment Summer has 1 bedroom with a large double bed (180×200 cm) and a bunk bed for 2 persons, a living room with a sofa bed (140x200cm) and well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with a shower, an entrance hall and a balcony. As there are no stairs to the apartment, it is also suitable for people who have difficulty walking or need a wheelchair.

Equipment in the apartment: stove (4x electric ring), electric oven, hood, dishwasher, mic-rowave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, cable TV, Wi-Fi.

Apartment Spring is located on the first floor of an apartment house and has a balcony overlooking the hills. It is suitable for 2 to 6 people and has about 40m2. The living area is facing southwest and is very bright. The bedroom faces northeast.

Apartment Spring has 1 bedroom with a double bed (160×200 cm) and a bunk bed for 2 persons, a spacious living area with a sofa bed (145x200cm) and a well-equipped kitchen, there is also exit to the balcony, a bathroom with a shower and an entrance hall.

Apartment Autumn is located in the attic of the apartment house, it has 1 bedroom and measures about 40 m2, it’s suitable for 2 to 6 people. The living area is facing southwest, it’s very bright, and has a beautiful view of the hills. The bedroom faces northeast.

The bedroom has a large double bed (180x200cm) and an extra double bed (140x200cm), the living area includes a well-equipped kitchen and a sofa bed (145x200cm), bathroom with shower, hallway.

Duplex apartment Snowdrop is located on the 1st floor and in the attic of the small ho-use. It has about 70m2 and it is suitable for 4 – 8 persons. It has well equipped kitchen, dinning area, large living room with double sleeping sofa (150x200cm) and fire place, bathroom with shower, small balcony.

Both bedrooms are in the attic, one bedroom has a double bed (160x200cm) and a single bed 90x190cm, other bedroom also has 1 double bed (160x200cm) and a single bed (90x190cm). Infront of the house there is a small wooden terrace with table and benches.

Apartment Fužina 1 is located on the whole top floor of our family house. It has about 90m2 and it is suitable for 6-10 persons. There is a nice, well equipped kitchen with din-ning area, 3 bedrooms (one with large double bed 180x200cm, one with large double bed 160x190cm + sofa bed 90x190cm and one bedroom with large double bed 160×200 cm and a single bed 90×190 cm) , a living room with double sleeping sofa 150x200cm, sitting area and cable TV, 2 bathrooms with shower and a balcony with a great view to the village and mountains.

Apartment Fužina 2 is situated on the 1st and 2nd floor of the house. Actually apartment covers more then half of our family house. We live on the ground floor of the house and we have our own private entrance.

1st floor : 3 bedrooms (7 beds) + 1 bathroom + 1 toilet + kitchen niche + balcony

2nd floor: 3 bedrooms (7 beds) + 2 bathrooms + balcony + nice, well equipped kitchen and living room with double sleeping sofa and cable TV.

Balconies are a bit small but with a nice view to the village and mountains.cPlace is great for families (with kids) and groups for up to 14 people, even more if there are small kids.

One of the highlights of visiting Bohinj is experiencing the warm hospitality of the local people, and what better way to do that than being with the locals?
