In a pleasant and calm small village Studor in Bohinj is located our Mrcina Ranch, riding school, riding in oval track, birthdays for children, Bohinj Slovenia. We have 16 horses (of which 10 Icelandic horses), a lot of cats, the dog and little pig Mici.
We are a group of enthusiastic horse lovers, riders and instructors who are involved with breeding Icelandic horses. Beside riding in intact nature of the Triglav National Park, we offer a riding school, riding for beginners and experienced riders.
Riding school
The riding school is not only for beginners but also for riders who like to improve there riding skills and learn more about riding Icelandic horses.
The riding school combines introduction, psychology, grooming, feeding, cleaning and how to put a bridle and saddle on a horse, as well as cleaning the stables. Personal contact and a harmony between rider and horse are essential for a good, enjoyable ride.
Riding in oval track
Our Icelandic horses, with their calm nature, together with our specially equipped saddles, means that even very young riders are able to have a walk around our training ring, or be taken out into the surrounding nature by our guides.
Birthdays for children
We offer a cake for the birthday child including 2 hours riding, which can, of course, be shared among the invited friends. Additional special arrangements can be made for children and adults, such as creative workshops, walking on stilts, picnics and others.
