Camp Resnik, Kamnik, is located just 500 meters from the medieval town of Kamnik, 25 km north of Ljubljana and 15 km from the Brnik airport. Camp is connected with Pod Skalo hostel, where guests can sleep in a room. You can also rent a small bungalow for two person within the camp.
Plots in the camp lie on grass surface in the shadow of tall trees. There are two units with WCs and showers, as well as solar heated outside showers. We also have place for camper supply and sinks where you can wash your dishes. By the camp is local pub that is part of the hostel where you can get some drinks. Camp Resnik, Kamnik, offers free wireless internet throughout the camp and a computer in the reception that guests can use.
Green surroundings, the nearness of mountains and many sport possibilities draw people that want to spend their holidays actively. In the camp there are orderly tennis courts, while just by the camp there is also an outdoor swimming pool and several beach volleyball pitches. Thermal baths with swimming pools – Terme Snovik are only 9 km away, while one of the best Slovene golf courses in Volčji Potok is just 3 km away.
There are many opportunities for easy walks in the surrounding area, while the highest tops of Kamnik Alps that reach over 2000m can give you more challenging climbs. One of the most visited places is Velika Planina, which is full of small old mountain houses and cattle in the summer as it is one of the oldest highland pastures in Europe. Mountain bikers can also find plenty of cycling tours in the area. During the evening hours you can visit the old town centre of Kamnik, possibly with guide from the local tourist office.
